To address these challenges, we have developed a respiration modulecompatible with the SECG 5.0 AIO Multi Vital Sign Simulator. This module expands the range and resolution of simulated impedance respiratory signals, enabling more comprehensive testing scenarios.
Expanded Simulation Range
Individual differences in baseline impedance values result in varying respiratory signals. The new respiration module extends the SECG 5.0 AIO’s simulation range:
- Previous Range: 500Ω to 2500Ω
- New Range: 100Ω to 4500Ω
This expanded range allows simulation of average human impedance values as well as extreme conditions, ensuring thorough product verification under diverse scenarios.
Improved Variability Resolution
By analyzing respiratory variability, such as changes in frequency and amplitude, it becomes possible to simulate and test a variety of respiratory patterns. The respiration module further enhances the SECG 5.0 AIO by:
- Expanding respiratory signal variability to 10Ω
- Providing a minimum step size of 0.05Ω within the range of 0.0Ω to 5Ω
This high resolution allows engineers to test patient monitors for their ability to detect subtle changes in respiratory signals, improving detection sensitivity and enhancing overall product performance.
