The new 12-channel test set provides three-dimensional simulations and also allows you to save an unlimited number of navigation plans under a user assigned name. Waypoints can be set up in 3D space. The waypoint legs join up, and either the range rate or altitude rate is calculated automatically. When you change the heading of a waypoint, it uses realistic rates of turn; when you change altitude, it uses realistic rates of descent or climb. You can enter coordinates in latitude/longitude form or have them automatically recalled from airport or city databases.
